Ok so you're on Facebook and you want to tell your friends how much you love/use WOW somehow right? LOL
Well here is a breakdown of the main WOW Apps on Facebook with the good the bad and the ugly.
____________________________________________________________________________________
This is the official App from Blizzard which does what the other Apps have been doing for awhile, pull from the Armory feeds.
This one is official so you don't have to worry about spammers, etc.
Once you have it installed, then you can go to add your character and change your settings.
It asks if you want to post to your profile automatically but will only post big deal items which seem to be: Leveling achievement or Epic item pick-up.
No other achievements or anything will automatically post to your profile. Your feed is available for you to review and you can post to your profile selected achievement if you want to.
The Apps main page is actually your friend's feeds so any of your friends who have this installed will show their character feeds for you to see and comment on if you feel the need to.
They have over 200,000 users and growing since their launch a few weeks ago.
I Play WoW - NOTE: This App appears to have been removed since review.
This was the first main App for Warcraft. I read somewhere about them, perhaps on CNET or in Game Informer, that they were boasting about hitting the 100,000 user mark.
It was coordinated by a husband and wife team, who of course, play WOW and utilized the WOW armory feeds.
Since the official Warcraft App launched, they have lost over 10,000 users. Unfortunately even me.
The main reason I did not love their App is because it didn't automatically update your feed. I know from experience building websites, it's because they don't have an auto-cron system and the Armory does.
You literally have to "Ding" your character every time you level. Plus the "Ding" is not even real because I accidentally "Ding"-ed above my character level once. It's more of a personal notebook then a feed.
Last checked, they had 90,000 active users.
Achieved (for World of Warcraft)
This App is for posting your achievements to your Wall. It does not automatically post anything.
You must go to the App's achievement feed, again provided by the feeds from the Armory, and click to publish each achievement to your Wall.
Last checked, they had 2,000 active users.

So basically, Blizzard reviewed the Apps available and knew they were pulling from the Armory so they created their own App pulling the major Armory data and pulled them into your account.
Finally the only areas Blizzard needs to improve on for the official App is:
1. Offer posting of all achievements to Wall.
2. Allow adding a box or tab to your profile showing you character and achievements.
